Aspen Leadership Group is pleased to partner with Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health in the search for a Chief Executive Officer.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the organization, in partnership with the Board of Directors, including oversight and evolution of the organization's strategic direction, its brand and reputation, programs, human capital, finances, and all day-to-day management and operations. The CEO will foster a collaborative and respectful environment and nurture the team's passion for the mission of Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health, while ensuring high performance through the effective recruitment, training, professional development, mentoring, and evaluation of staff. As the primary spokesperson and revenue generator for NSRH, the Chief Executive Officer will cultivate relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders as well as through media engagements and public speaking while also serving as a key liaison to community organizations, dedicating time to building and sustaining strong, impactful partnerships.

Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health envisions a world in which all people have access to just and dignified comprehensive healthcare. Their mission is to provide students, nurses, and midwives with education and resources to become skilled care providers and social change agents in sexual and reproductive health and justice. NSRH works hard to create an active and engaged community that is reflective, not of the nursing field as it is presently, but of the diverse communities that nurses serve. They have identified ten core values that guide this work. While their organization has a rich history of grassroots nursing student organizing and activism, they are forging a new future for the organization that serves nursing professionals, midwives, and students.

While most organizations are focused on physicians, they have crafted a clear pathway to SRH for nurses using their 3-pronged workforce development strategy: Advocacy, Education, and Professional Development. Their focus is on nurses (LPN/LVNs, RNs, APRNs, Certified Nurse-Midwives), and nursing students (ADN, BSN, DNP, LP/VN, MSN, and PhD), but they also recognize how important it is for nurses to work in coalition with other providers. It is especially important for nurses committed to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) to build power with other healthcare professionals as a way of truly challenging the hierarchical structures within the profession that alienate people and make true access to comprehensive healthcare for all impossible. NSRH is uniquely positioned to contribute to the development of the sexual and reproductive health care workforce, of which nurses are a critical component. They provide a safe place for nurses and allies who are looking to disrupt systems of oppression that exist within the SRH sector. NSRH creates community and weaves connections for the advancement of reproductive access, health, justice, and rights.

Five years of experience, including senior leadership roles in nonprofits, philanthropy, or mission-driven organizations, is required for this position. Experience in nursing, clinical, or healthcare settings is preferred. Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds.
