Job SummaryLeads all areas of a comprehensive annual giving program for Colorado College. This dynamic leader will be responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating a fundraising program which builds a long-term base of support for the college. The Director will determine strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and acknowledge annual giving donors and constituents to include alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff. Aspects of the program include direct mail, digital communications, student outreach program, reunion giving, the Tiger ExCCellence Fund, leadership annual giving, crowdfunding, face to face relationship building and student philanthropy.
Responsibilities Plan, direct, and oversee all aspects of the college's Annual Giving program, with a focus on achieving annual fundraising goals and metrics, supporting pipeline development, and sharing the impact philanthropy has at the college.
Provide strategic leadership in driving an Annual Giving program that builds a strong base of support through storytelling, customized appeals, and innovative marketing and engagement techniques.
Closely collaborate with college and advancement communications to develop and maintain consistency of annual giving messaging used in solicitations, stewardship, volunteer work, and events. Ensure alignment with college brand and standards.
Lead and manage an Annual Giving staff to include goal setting, evaluating performance, and building a culture of strategic excellence and teamwork.
Work closely with Stewardship team to develop meaningful acknowledgment and stewardship practices.
Identify and leverage College-wide opportunities to increase overall giving and participation among alumni, parents and friends.
In partnership with Advancement Services, maintain the integrity of all constituent data, develop annual giving reporting to analyze trends and drive strategic planning of fundraising efforts.
Oversee all budgets related to Annual Giving
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years of experience in the advancement field or related experience including supervisory experience; strategic leader with demonstrated expertise and knowledge of annual giving fundraising strategies and tactics; highly organized with ability to interpret and communicate complex data sets and utilize analytic techniques and platforms, and data visualization tools; superb listening and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; a commitment to high performance and teamwork; strong initiative and the ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment with deadlines. The successful candidate will have an extraordinary attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
Preferred QualificationsAn alumna/alumnus of a small, private liberal arts college.
