Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Temporary Director of Special Projects for Advancement. The Director of Special Projects is responsible for completing the import files for 500+ scholarships to implement the university's new Scholarship Universe campus wide scholarship system. A standard and consistent format with high accuracy is required for import templates. Special discretion and judgement must be utilized in some instances with interpreting donor agreements. Previous work with managing scholarships in higher education is required. This is a part-time, non-benefited, temporary position.
Responsibilities
- Scholarships Special Project: Responsible for completing the import files for 500+ scholarships to implement the university's new Scholarship Universe campus wide scholarship system. This will require a thorough review of every donor memorandum of agreement to ensure the scholarship awarding and eligibility criteria are uploaded with 100% accuracy. Data fields must be entered in a standard format and be consistent for all 500+ scholarships in order to upload successfully. Must complete templates within overall project implementation deadlines.
Coordinate with Enrollment Management and the project implementation team to ensure all Financial Aid, Business Office, and Foundation codes are accurately imported with scholarship criteria.
Utilize special discretion and judgement in some instances when interpreting donor agreements, which are legal documents. - Attend weekly Scholarship Universe implementation calls with consultant and implementation team to discuss the project status, project questions, and ensure the project stays on track for critical deadlines.
- Review previously recorded trainings with Scholarship Universe consultant to ensure a basic understanding of the Scholarship Universe system to successfully complete implementation templates.
- Other mission critical tasks related to the Scholarship Universe implementation as assigned by the Assistant Vice President.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database management, word processing, and basic use of office equipment.
- Knowledge of Raiser's Edge by Blackbaud is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Incumbent must maintain confidentiality, be detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
- The incumbent must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Five years of experience working with scholarships in higher education.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
