Location Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Responsible for the Donor Stewardship strategy, donor recognition, and continued engagement of KSU donors in collaboration with the fundraising team. This position develops and executes stewardship plans, events, and communications across the full donor base. Manages donor stewardship and events staff. The Director collaborates with campus partners including the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid, Events Management, and Legal/Compliance areas to ensure donor intent is carried out. Collaborates with major gift fundraising team to identify donors who would benefit from creative and thoughtful stewardship gestures (events, communications, etc.) to prepare donors for further cultivation and solicitation. Oversees the creation and dissemination of annual scholarship profiles and events, the impact reporting process, custom donor reports, and the KSUF annual report to donors.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designs and implements donor engagement and stewardship strategies on a case-by-case basis, ensuring alignment with development and college office needs and procedures.
2. Identifies and stewards major gift donors across the University in collaboration with the Major Gifts Team, covering Colleges, Centers, Programs, and Institutes.
3. Creates and manages innovative programs and projects to thank, recognize, and steward donors, including tracking and communicating stewardship activities in the database.
4. Utilizes campus-wide tools to increase the connection between donors and students, including discussing the utilization of Scholarship Universe.
5. Oversees and executes all donor events in partnership with the Development and KSU events team, including scholarship events, naming events, donor/student interactions, donor hospitality, and recognition opportunities.
6. Manages donor communication efforts, such as cards, newsletters, and mailings, while maintaining a key partnership with the Strategic Communications team to ensure adherence to the KSU Brand, designs, and standards.
7. Prepares and distributes information to donors on behalf of the Development office, including annual impact reports.
8. Participates in various campaign projects, including rollout events, meet-the-faculty events, and other donor-present events like COTA events, athletic events, and University initiatives.
9. Organizes, supervises, and coordinates management activities, including strategic planning, budget management, fundraising, and staying updated on industry standards, trends, breakthroughs, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in post-secondary education, business or related field
Required Experience
Five (5) years of related experience in advancement, development, or other related fundraising roles
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Enthusiasm for fundraising in a comprehensive university, and the desire to work collegially within a goal-oriented fundraising organization
Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a higher education or nonprofit donor engagement office
Expertise in developing stewardship strategies
Comprehensive campaign experience
Experience leading others
Proposed Salary
The minimum of the salary range is $84,200. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, donor databases, etc.)
