In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Oversee UAA's Development team, including Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Planned Giving, and Donor Relations. Develop and implement strategies to meet our philanthropic goals.
- Collaborate and Integrate: Work closely with university relations and alumni relations to create cohesive advancement programs that support UAA's strategic plan.
- Engage and Cultivate: Advise and support the UAA Chancellor and Executive Director in philanthropic communications and manage key donor relationships.
- Innovate and Grow: Stay abreast of national trends in higher education fundraising and leverage new tools and technologies to enhance UAA's philanthropic endeavors.
Strategize and Execute: Develop and implement an annual development plan in collaboration with academic deans and community campus directors.
Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of full-time, management-level, progressively responsible fundraising experience, including major gift fundraising
experience.
Master's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, public administration or relevant field and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience (at least five of which are at the management level), or an equivalent.
PhD preferred
Advanced knowledge of philanthropic support, fundraising and donor relations.
Position Details:This position is located a the University campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and
full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the
UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 84, based on education and experience.
