Job Description
This position reports to the Senior Director of Technology and will be crucial in a cross-functional department. The Senior Technology Coordinator (Salesforce Administrator) will lead Salesforce management, support core platforms, and manage technical contractors to utilize a high-impact tech reach. Our tech ecosystem relies on strong working relationships with multiple contractor teams to support a variety of platforms and applications, including Salesforce, Asana, and Craft CMS. The majority of work for this role will take place within Salesforce NPSP, including typical Salesforce administrative duties, generating reports, and platform customization with the support of a Salesforce agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead management of the Salesforce platform, responsible for maintaining the functional areas of data management and hygiene, accounts, contacts, campaigns, donations, dashboards, reports, and third-party connections;
- Manage user access and security within Salesforce, including the implementation and maintenance of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), profiles, roles, and permissions;
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on Salesforce functionality and best practices, including app usage, reporting, merging and deleting records;
- Create and maintain a library of reference documentation, such as tutorials, user guides, training slides, and/or recordings for internal training;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce functionality and performance for both internal and external platform users;
- With the support of a Salesforce contractor agency, configure Salesforce to meet the specific needs of various programs and teams, including the creation of custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and processes;
- With the support of a Salesforce contractor agency, support the ongoing development of a Salesforce Experience Cloud portal used to collect and review external applications. This will include working with Salesforce screen flows and record-triggered flows;
- Manage and coordinate technical contractors, including Salesforce admin team, cybersecurity consultants, and web developers;
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in supporting technology for an organization, preferably nonprofit;
- A minimum of two (2) years experience with Salesforce administration;
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues;
- Ability to work virtually.
Preferred Education, Training, and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Strong preference for Salesforce Certified Administrator certification, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Consultant Certification, and/or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
- Salesforce admin training;
- Experience preferred in Asana, Craft, WordPress, Classy, Adobe, and Zapier;
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis, platform design, testing, debugging, and training team members on platform usage;
- Strong proficiency in G-Suite platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with leading-edge technologies, including Claude AI and Gemini AI.
