Job DescriptionThe University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of
Assistant Director of Development, Strategy & Analytics for the Tennessee Fund and Tennessee Athletics. Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director of Revenue, Strategy & Analytics, the Assistant Director of Development, Strategy & Analytics is responsible for supporting the philanthropic goals of the Tennessee Fund by using data and analytics to create actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and revenue for Tennessee Athletics. Through data analysis, the implementation of efficiency-driven technology, and prospecting, this role will help drive new major gifts for the University of Tennessee.
ResponsibilitiesJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data Modeling & Analysis: Create lead scoring models for potential major gift donors and premium seating prospects. Improve and lead the regional model process to support complementary fundraising efforts. Utilize SQL and other data tools to analyze data and create actionable insights. Create, refine, and monitor athletics reporting dashboards in Tableau.
Reporting & Operations: Lead the reporting efforts for major gifts, including the development and maintenance of dashboards to track major gift officer metrics. Provide regular updates to stakeholders (advancement leadership, gift officers) on progress towards campaign goals. Optimize team efficiency, especially in terms of prospect discovery, assignment, and outreach.
Outreach: Design drip campaigns for regional targets from gift officers who cover the 10+ regions. Direct premium seating prospect discovery and set up automated email campaigns in a new email marketing platform.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience The candidate who fills the Assistant Director of Development, Strategy & Analytics position is required to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, or sports management
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis/management, sports management, reporting, business operations, and/or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Education and Experience In addition to meeting the required qualifications, the preferred candidate will have:
- 3+ years' experience in a business field, consulting, college sports, or professional sports
- High competency with Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with a preferred coding language (SQL, R, etc.)
