About the Catalysing Collaborations team
Catalysing collaborations is one of the strategic pillars of our movement of more than 6500 social entrepreneurs and innovators who are united in their efforts to accelerate the SDGs. We are now moving to the next stage of our evolution and looking for a junior-level collaborations coordinator who can support the movement by matchmaking members, building and leveraging meaningful collaborations within our membership, as well as with external stakeholders, and connecting collaborations to relevant resources in and outside of the movement.
Scope of the work
This new role is crucial to our goal of advancing cross-sector collaborations more rapidly towards achieving systems change, and we are therefore looking for an outstanding candidate who can think strategically, has excellent communication skills, and can seamlessly run and optimize projects. The ideal candidate thrives on building relationships and making connections to support others. You might call yourself a weaver, community builder, or connector with strong project management skills. You are a team player, ready to work across our secretariat departments and engage with our membership to develop excellent collaboration opportunities.
You have at least 3-5+ years of relevant work experience, including project management in a global development context, and a good knowledge of systems change. You will report directly to the Collaborations Facilitator.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to identify member collaboration opportunities that create systems change
- Supporting our Country and Regional Chapters by working on activities with our Coordinators to develop processes, support events, and share resources to support collaborations
- Coordinating communication and information flows between members’ collaboration projects and the Secretariat.
- Data synthesis, report writing, and promotion of collaborations in various networks when needed
- Receiving requests from members in the network and directing these to relevant people
- Supporting and reporting to the Collaborations Facilitator
- Any other ad hoc tasks as requested and being willing to be flexible when required
Qualifications and experience
- An active interest in global issues and challenges, their complexity and nuances
- Ability to work in a multicultural, global environment and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and across time zones, and a willingness to learn from experience
- Ability to manage time effectively and to adapt to changing environments
- Desire to work collaboratively, with a positive attitude and ability to rise to challenges
- Fluency in English and another language
- Residing and planning to work from Europe
- Hands-on attitude, flexibility, ability to adapt to new tasks, and a willingness to help out when required
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- A bachelor's or master’s degree or equivalent experience
Salesforce expertise (preferred), a strong ability to use technology for data analysis to report on the growth of the network
