Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement plays a vital role in managing volunteers and facilitating programs that enhance engagement and foster loyalty to Franklin & Marshall College. This position involves the planning and execution of various activities and events related to alumni engagement.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a key professional across multiple program areas within alumni engagement, including but not limited to student engagement, alumni volunteer management, and the planning and execution of alumni events.
- Assist the Alumni Engagement team in producing, planning, and executing a comprehensive range of programs and events that align with the college's mission.
- Support volunteers and programming that creates opportunities for alumni to forge meaningful connections with each other and the College.
- Aids in organizing major on-campus events, such as True Blue Weekend, Stadium Clubs, athletic events, faculty-sponsored programs, affinity programming, and alumni events associated with commencement.
- Recruit, train, manage and recognize assigned volunteer groups.
- Represent the College at various events, including evenings and weekends.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and to provide excellent service to internal and external constituents.
- Ability to be an ambassador of the College, its mission and College Advancement.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours to support programs and events.
- Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
- A commitment to community and belonging.
- Successful interview.
- Successful completion of background checks.
- This position requires driving for college business, the successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Additional Information:
