BNC Sr. Development Coordinator.
As a member of the Institutional Advancement (IA) team, the Sr. Development Coordinator is responsible for providing high-level administrative, planning and information management support to the Brandeis National Committee
Position requires the ability to be detail oriented, multi-task, and meet all deadlines. Must possess proactive and resourceful abilities, be extremely well organized, and professionally represent the University, demonstrating exceptional customer service, communications and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:Information Strategy / Data Management
- Manage database functions, which includes ensuring all donor and volunteer information, actions and activities are entered correctly and in a timely manner.
- Manage creation and administration of online event registration forms.-
- Generates specialized reports, queries and data exports, with an ability to manipulate complex data in Excel spreadsheets and organize data, etc.
- Proactively identifies opportunities and develops systems to improve efficiencies and workflows; collaborates with team members to standardize templates and processes across the department.
- Works as a partner with the BNC team to ensure effective data management workflows, and that processes and policies are followed as related to donor records retention and maintenance, tax regulations, confidentiality and data security policies, etc.
Supporting Development Efforts
- Coordinate campus visits for donors and volunteers and provide on-site logistics and customer service support for meetings, programs and events.
Volunteer Relations and Customer Service- Frequently communicates via telephone and email with volunteers, donors, IA colleagues and other University personnel. Interacts often with culturally diverse individuals of diverse social, economic and educational levels.
- Must possess diplomacy, tact and discretion in interpersonal relationships; demonstrate strong customer service skills; and represent Brandeis and IA in a professional manner at all times.
- Actively participates in coordinator meetings and employee engagement groups, supports colleagues with special projects, training and orienting new team members, supervising and training student workers, etc.
Administrative Support- Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies and promotional supplies, and mailing supplies to volunteers
Requirements, skills needed, and Additional Information:- Bachelor's degree preferred plus 3-5 years related work experience
- Must demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint on IBM compatible systems, as well as Google Suite (Gmail, Google docs, sheets, forms, drive etc.). Must be able to quickly master specialized programs, such as the Advancement CRM database (Salesforce/Ascend), and other fundraising software tools. Must have mastery of office technology (computers, phones, fax, audio/video conferencing systems, etc.) to be able to work efficiently and troubleshoot when problems arise.
- Superior interpersonal skills and customer service orientation with an ability to successfully interact and collaborate with varied constituencies in a professional manner, exhibiting excellent written and oral communications.
- Presents a collegial, collaborative, and customer-service demeanor that positively reflects the core values and standards of the institution and demonstrates tact and diplomacy. Ability to apply good judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with highly confidential alumni, parent, student, family, donor and prospect information and personal interactions with same.
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with an ability to work independently, prioritize and organize work, and manage multiple projects and priorities to meet sometimes challenging deadlines.
- Exhibits excellent written and oral communication skills that promote academic and business professionalism and convey information clearly and concisely.
