Job Description SummaryThe University of South Alabama's Development & Alumni Relations department is seeking to hire a Prospect Research Analyst. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions- Conducts thorough proactive and reactive research analysis, following HIPPA guidelines, to identify potential donors to the University of South Alabama, USA Health, USA National Alumni Association, USA Medical Alumni Association and Jaguar Athletics.
- Identifies and researches individuals from various constituencies that include alumni, existing/potential donors, and grateful patients that may be interested in funding various initiatives that align with their philanthropic goals.
- Works closely with the USA Development fundraising teams to screen, validate lists, and prepare prospect profiles according to ethical guidelines, providing timely research that informs solicitation strategies.
- Serves as a central support informational resource for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations.
- Supports the fundraising and engagement efforts of USA and USA Health by identifying and analyzing prospective donors.
- Provides in-depth research, wealth assessments, and strategic insights to assist development officers in cultivating and soliciting donors.
- Leverages various research tools and data sources to assess philanthropic capacity, interests, and connections to the institution.
- Utilizes wealth screening tools, databases, and public sources to analyze financial assets, business affiliations, philanthropic history, and biographical information.
- Produces a variety of comprehensive reports, including but not limited to, profile briefs, and preliminary and full profiles that will be distributed to university leadership and development and alumni relations staff members.
- Assists in assuring and maintaining accuracy and integrity of donor records and prospect information within the institution's CRM/database based on research findings, staff assignments, ratings, and proposal data.
- Adheres to ethical standards and guidelines set by organizations such as APRA (Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement) and CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education).
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies regarding donor data.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
