JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State College of Earth and Mineral Sciences seeks an intern to support the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State's future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and working closely with college's leadership, as well as other partners, this intern will:
MGO Related Projects
- Creating and updating tasks, prospecting, and event coding in the division's customer service relationship management (CRM) database AWA
- Trip planning and travel with gift officers
- Send invitations via email and phone, develop itineraries, plan meeting agendas, and coordinate trip follow-up activities
- Work with a Major Gift Officer to establish a timeline and plan for the EMS Giving Tuesday initiatives
- Coordinate donor/student virtual and in-person meet and greets
- Create an annual stewardship content calendar including the management and production of media content in the software thankview
- Compile student profiles for scholarship thank yous
- Assist in planning high-profile events, such as: Obelisk EMS Giving Society Annual Celebration, Development Council, and Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences (GEMS) meetings
- Work around marketing and communications for our varied event portfolio
