Position Description & Details
Minot State University Development Foundation is currently accepting applications for the position of Development Officer and Data Analyst. This is a full-time, fully-benefited 12-month position.
Position Summary: Professional fundraising position that supports Minot State University and its students. This position will help ensure the university's financial viability through increased and new revenue sources using a variety of fundraising programs. These programs will focus on major and planned gift fundraising through the organization and implementation of a comprehensive development program and capital campaign raising private gifts to Minot State University and the Minot State University Development Foundation. This position Identifies prospects, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors to raise gifts in support of University objectives. This position will work closely with the Foundation Data Base Manager to ensure integrity within the donor and alumni data base. The Development Office and Data Analyst reports directly to the Vice President for Advancement.
Required Competencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional work experience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a diverse client base.
- Experience calling, conducting face-to-face appointments, managing relationships and other fundamental elements of client/donor relationship or sales-related activities.
- Demonstrated communications and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on engaged listening, and success working a team setting.
- Valid driver's license as travel is required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous fundraising experience in a college/university or non-profit setting.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the university and the mission of the foundation.
