Director, Scholarship Development and Administration
The Director, Scholarship Development and Administration primarily oversees the all administrative functions related to the processes and procedures related to the management of ASU Foundation scholarships. This position reports to the Sr Director of Scholarship Development and Administration at the ASU Foundation.
What you'll do:
Oversee a team who manages scholarship administration and stewardship for all foundation-managed scholarships
Develop and implement best practices for managing and stewarding philanthropically funded scholarships across the enterprise
Ensure stewardship for high-touch scholarship programs, participating in the scholarship selection process and providing services and opportunities to student recipients while interacting with leadership donors
Provide expertise and strategic counsel on evolving philanthropic scholarship opportunities
Assess priorities for scholarship support in conjunction with the development team, university administrators, faculty and other members of the enterprise
Respond to inquiries from development staff and scholarship administrators who need assistance with any aspect of scholarship establishment, administration and/or the disbursement process
Oversee the administration of a portfolio of assigned scholarships and the programmatic support for key scholarship programs funded by principal investors of the ASU Foundation.
Serve as a liaison with the Comptroller's Office, Educational Outreach and Student Services, the Office of Student Financial Assistance and the Office of General Counsel for scholarship related issues, policies and procedures
Collaborate with the Office of Donor Services and the ASU Office of Student Financial Assistance to ensure the endowed scholarships are administered effectively and in accordance with the donors intent
Oversee the implementation and management of the ASU Foundation scholarship portal
Provide insight and expertise on how to increase the quality and effectiveness of scholarship programs
Conduct appropriate training of ASU development and Foundation staff so that scholarship systems and programs are understood by all parties
Under the direction of the Sr Director of Scholarship Development and Administration, serve as a leader within the team to develop strategy and processes to accomplish team goals and objectives

Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working in donor/prospect computer data base systems
Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans
Demonstrable experience in stewardship plans leading to additional investments
Relevant qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree preferred.
Five (5) years' experience in not-for-profit, and/or academic/student affairs and/or related field.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Legal Studies, Nonprofit Management, Business, Higher Education, or a related field
