Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Annual and Digital Engagement, the Assistant Director of Momentum Giving plays a key role in advancing Georgia College & State University's annual giving efforts. This position requires a creative, action-oriented professional who can design and implement innovative strategies to inspire momentum giving among alumni, parents, and friends of the university.
The Assistant Director collaborates with Directors of Development and campus stakeholders to create tailored fundraising initiatives: including crowdfunding, leadership giving, and parent/family giving, that support colleges, units, and programs across campus.
Responsibilities Special Projects - 5* Organize events to recognize, steward, and engage donors, .sponsors, parents, and community partners.
* Support athletics fundraising and other advancement initiatives as assigned
Fundraising - 85* Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive annual giving program to solicit contributions from alumni, parents, and friends of GCSU.
* Lead discovery and solicitation efforts for parent and family giving in partnership with Student Affairs.
* Collaborate with Directors of Development and academic leaders on special projects and emerging funding needs.
* Manage the GCSU crowdfunding platform, ensuring timely and effective campaigns.
* Identify, cultivate, and solicit donors with capacity for leadership annual gifts ($1,500 - $10,000+), with a focus on growing the President's Circle.
* Partner with the stewardship team to ensure appropriate recognition, impact reporting, and ongoing engagement of annual donors.
* Develop and execute strategies for young alumni giving in partnership with Alumni Relations.
* Support and expand student giving initiatives to build a culture of philanthropy on campus.
Public Relations - 10* Provide leadership and support for annual giving and digital engagement campaigns.
* Partner across campus to coordinate donor appeals, including digital, print, and social media strategies.
* Assist in planning and executing campus-wide giving events such as Athletics Day of Giving and the GCSU Alumni Giving Challenge.
Required Qualifications Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
