CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Summary of Position:
The CEO understands and embodies the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization. Provides overall leadership and administers all aspects of the Central Community Health Centre by interpreting and implementing Board policies and strategic directions. Is a non voting ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the Board of Directors, through the Board Chair or Board Co-Chair, the CEO is expected and required to uphold organizational beliefs and values and uphold CCHC’s model of Health and Wellbeing, while ensuring organizational excellence. The CEO will be responsible for the oversight of the following functional areas: Strategic Leadership, Systems Development, Board Liaison, Financial Management, Community Partnerships, and Human Resources - including Health & Safety. Minimum Qualifications:
- Four (4) year graduate degree from a recognized University in Business, Public Administration, Health Administration, and/or Human Services. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years progressive senior management experience in a community health or social service setting, experience with budget negotiations and management, program administration and financial development.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community participation and community-based health care.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with other community based organizations, a volunteer Board of Directors, and government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Sound knowledge and application of Human Resource Management best practices.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of financial/accounting policies and principles.
- Experience in Facility reorganization and/or relocation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (PCRJMC) or Vulnerable Sector Check (if required).
Hours of Work/Salary
The normal workweek consists of 37.5 hours. Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours, including evenings, and weekends and work off site is required.
The salary range is $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per annum.
CCHC provides a comprehensive benefit package including, Health and Welfare Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Pension Plan (HOOPP).
Work Location: St. Thomas. Your anticipated place of work will be at the CCHC Building located at 359 Talbot Street, St. Thomas, or any other location that the Board may designate. Travel to other communities may be required from time to time.
