About the Role
The Secretariat of the CICC is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join its team. The Membership and Engagement Associate will play a pivotal role in providing administrative and operational support to the Coalition’s Secretariat and membership, including to facilitate civil society access to and participation in important annual gatherings such as the ICC-NGO Roundtables and the Assembly of States Parties of the Rome Statute (ASP) sessions.
Responsibilities include:
- Membership Engagement & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for member organizations, responding to inquiries and providing relevant information.
- Manage and maintain contact databases, mailing lists, and membership applications.
- Oversee new member onboarding processes, ensuring clear communication about Coalition engagement opportunities.
- Support consultations with member organizations on strategic goals and governance.
- Event Participation & Support
- Facilitate NGO participation in key events, including Assembly of States Parties (ASP) sessions and ICC-NGO Roundtables.
- Arrange accreditation, respond to participation queries, and provide updated information to members.
- Organize and coordinate side meetings, consultations, and networking opportunities.
- Communications & Information Management
- Handle general information requests from members and direct requests to appropriate CICC staff member.
- Assist with reporting for various projects and meetings.
- Attend and report on ICC, ASP, or UN meetings and events in The Hague as needed, including taking notes and preparing internal summaries.
- Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling, agenda sharing, and reporting for various projects and meetings.
- Additional Secretariat Support
- Contribute to broader Secretariat work, including advocacy and programmatic efforts, as required.
Experience and qualifications requested:
- Affinity to the values and mandate of the Coalition for the ICC.
- University degree in Law, Social Sciences, Human Rights, International Relations, or a related field; an advanced degree is an asset.
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a small and dedicated team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High proficiency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency with standard office and communication tools.
