Purpose of PositionTo lead, organize, coordinate, and manage the university's fundraising efforts; to assist the President, Vice President, Deans, and Directors with fundraising initiatives and campaigns.Primary Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day leadership and management for development officers and staff in meeting fundraising goals and metrics.
- Lead the recruiting, evaluation, and retention of the director of development team.
- Lead and administer planning, strategy, and execution of university wide fundraising efforts for NKU- major, planned, corporate, and foundation.
- Provide counsel, coaching, and planning for leadership, deans, department, program heads, faculty, and staff regarding development strategy and activities.
- Manage prospect research and management, providing counsel and direction to coordinate prospect and prospect development for all University fundraising
- Manage a prospect and donor portfolio
- Active leadership in the division of university advancement and NKU
- Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsCandidates must have a bachelor's degree, at least ten years of progressive experience, and at least two years of leadership and management experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education, with comprehensive fundraising campaign experience, and a successful record of accomplishment of closing gifts of $100,000 and above. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse development team.Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
