Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive advancement services strategy supporting fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor relations.
- Oversee all aspects of gift revenue processing, reporting, and reconciliation in partnership with the Business Office.
- Partner with frontline development officers to strengthen donor pipeline development, prospect strategy, and campaign planning.
- Lead analytics and reporting to inform giving trends, segmentation, campaign progress, and donor behavior.
- Maintain and enhance data quality protocols; ensure consistency and accuracy of constituent records across all systems.
- Integrate third-party data sources (e.g., wealth screenings, external vendors) to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies in alignment with IRS regulations, state and federal laws, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with campus stakeholders on data usage protocols, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of information.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Institutional Advancement division to measure effectiveness and impact. Supervise and execute timely gift processing, acknowledgments, and receipt generation.
- Reconcile donations monthly with the Business Office to ensure financial accuracy.
- Develop and produce regular and ad hoc advancement reports using CRM tools, Excel, and data visualization platforms.
- Manage the daily administration of the donor database (e.g., Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar), ensuring accurate data entry, biographical updates, and record enhancements.
- Conduct donor prospect research and manage wealth screening tools to support fundraising priorities.
- Produce donor reports, pledge reminders, stewardship materials, and donor honor rolls as needed.
- Generate mailing lists and event rosters based on segmentation needs and internal requests.
- Provide training and ongoing support to advancement staff on CRM functionality, data reporting, and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., Apra, CASE, AASP) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in advancement services, development operations, or related field.
- Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Slate, Ellucian CRM Advance, Salesforce) and strong knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools.
- Experience conducting prospect research using tools such as iWave, ResearchPoint, WealthEngine, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex data systems and provide actionable insights from analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
