Position: Institutional Advancement Specialist
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Institutional Advancement
Reports to: Director of Institutional Advancement
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
- Organize meetings, events and activities involving the Athens Tech Foundation.
- Maintain the Kindful database for development and alumni to ensure all information, both gift and constituent, is accurate and up-to-date.
- Compose drafts of correspondence to donors and other constituencies as directed.
- Maintain working knowledge of TCSG (Technical College System of Georgia) Policies and Procedures, Gift Management standards as well as IRS regulations.
- Promote ATC Alumni Association and working with Association to plan and coordinate events, meetings and fundraisers.
- Manage the Athens Tech Foundation scholarship tracking and review system.
- Understand and utilize graphic design and layout techniques using software to ensure high quality printed materials for Athens Tech Foundation are produced on deadline.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team effort. Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion.
- Monitor Athens Tech Foundation social media as needed.
- Submit updates and maintain the Office of Institutional Advancement website.
- Manage the accounts receivable for the Athens Tech Foundation and prepare invoices as necessary.
- Prepare Disbursement Form for each invoice/requisition presented for payment.
- Present Disbursement Form for signature to all officials who are required to approve expenditures.
- Manage the accounts payable for the Foundation and issue Foundation checks according to Authorization for Disbursement Forms.
- Post Foundation receipts to the proper Fund/class in QuickBooks.
- Prepare appropriate bank deposit forms and present to financial institution.
- Reconcile all bank/investment statements.
- Reconcile fund balances to bank/investment accounts.
- Post Foundation expenses to the proper Fund/Class in QuickBooks.
- Prepare, submit and track purchase requisitions.
- Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and Three (3) years of related work experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Proficient with Kindful database management, QuickBooks, AwardSpring or STARS software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, MS Publisher, and Page Maker.
- Knowledgeable of Scholarship and Fund Agreements.
- Previous experience with fundraising and/or community development.
- Previous event planning experience.
