Blizzard Greenberg, PLCC seeks Trauma-Informed Intake Specialist (Independent Contractor – 1099)
Part-Time | 1–2 Hours/Day | Monday–Friday
Our law firm, Blizzard Greenberg, PLCC, represents survivors of sexual assault in civil litigation. We are seeking a compassionate, trauma-informed professional to serve as an independent contractor assisting with initial intake calls from prospective clients and their family members.
This role involves a low call volume (approximately 2-5 calls per day) and focuses on supportive, trauma-informed listening and information gathering, not sales, persuasion, or legal analysis.
Scope of Work
- Receive and respond to incoming calls from survivors of sexual assault or their family members
- Provide calm, respectful, trauma-informed engagement during sensitive disclosures
- Collect basic intake information using firm-provided guidelines
- Refer or escalate calls to an attorney when appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate records
- Operate independently while adhering to ethical and professional standards
Time Commitment
- Approximately 1–2 hours per day, Monday through Friday
- Work performed remotely or at contractor’s chosen location
- Contractor retains discretion over exact scheduling within agreed availability windows
Qualifications
- Background in social work, counseling, victim advocacy, or a related field strongly preferred
- Trauma-informed training or direct experience working with survivors of sexual assault or interpersonal violence
- Strong listening, communication, and boundary-setting skills
- Ability to manage emotionally sensitive conversations professionally and independently
Preferred Experience
- MSW, LCSW, or similar credential (licensed or pre-licensed)
- Experience with crisis lines, advocacy organizations, or clinical intake
- Familiarity with secondary/vicarious trauma and self-care practices
Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid at a rate of $40–$50 per hour, commensurate with experience and training. The firm guarantees a minimum of one (1) hour of compensation per business day, even if no intake calls are received that day. Hours worked beyond the daily minimum will be compensated at the agreed hourly rate. Contractor responsible for taxes and benefits
