Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Marist University in the search for an Associate Vice President for Development.
Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Associate Vice President for Development will lead and advance Marist University's fundraising efforts across a range of strategic initiatives. The AVP will direct the planning and execution of both short- and long-term fundraising strategies, including major, leadership and principal giving, planned giving, annual giving, and corporate and foundation giving. In partnership with the Vice President and frontline development staff, the AVP will set ambitious yet achievable goals, while developing and executing comprehensive strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of key prospects. The AVP will also manage a personal portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects and secure significant philanthropic support for institutional fundraising priorities.
The Associate Vice President for Development will oversee and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, ensuring strong performance management, professional development, and a culture of excellence. They will be a key leader in the execution of a multi-year comprehensive campaign, including the creation of detailed timelines, benchmarks, and progress reports and leveraging of data analytics to inform campaign strategies. Serving as a key partner to leadership, the Assistant Vice President will regularly report on the campaign's results and successes, offering insights for continued growth and refinement.

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least seven years of experience is required for this position.
