Job Summary:
Prosper Learning Co. is seeking a relationship-driven Strategic Partnerships Manager to help build and grow our institutional partnerships. This role sits at the intersection of business development, partnership strategy, and hands-on relationship building, with a strong emphasis on mission alignment and sustainable revenue growth.
In this role, you will identify, cultivate, and close partnerships with foundations, nonprofit networks, and other institutional partners that fund or license Prosper Learning Co.’s financial capacity-building programs. You will balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution—building pipelines, initiating and deepening relationships, leading partnership conversations, and collaborating closely with the CEO to move opportunities from early interest to signed agreements and long-term partnerships.
This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for someone with a background in fundraising, institutional partnerships, or mission-driven business development who is excited to help build the early growth engine of a high-impact, scalable organization.
Core Focus Areas:
- Build and manage relationships with foundations, philanthropic networks, and capacity-building organizations to fund or license nonprofit financial training programs
- Develop and deliver partnership proposals and presentations in collaboration with the CEO
- Build and manage a partnership pipeline using a CRM system, tracking outreach, relationship progression, and deal status
- Capture and leverage social proof from program participants and funding partners to strengthen positioning, demonstrate impact, and support future partnerships
- Identify and close additional licensing or partnership opportunities that expand Prosper Learning Co.’s reach and revenue over time
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a targeted lead-generation and outreach strategy aligned with Prosper Learning Co.’s priority markets
- Conduct outreach and relationship-building through email, phone, virtual meetings, and select in-person opportunities
- Lead partnership conversations with foundation and institutional stakeholders, including discovery, alignment, and next-step planning
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and internal team to ensure smooth handoffs, aligned messaging, and strong partnership experiences post-close
- Track and report on KPIs related to pipeline volume, conversion rates, deal progression, and closed partnerships
- Provide regular updates to the CEO on revenue progress, partnership opportunities, market feedback, and emerging patterns in the field
Ideal Candidate:
You’ll excel in this role if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in fundraising, institutional partnerships, or business development within mission-driven, nonprofit, or social impact contexts
- Are skilled at translating impact, outcomes, and long-term value into funding or purchasing decisions for foundations or institutions
- Have experience building and closing partnerships with foundations, nonprofit networks, associations, or large organizations
- Are entrepreneurial and self-directed, and excited about building early-stage systems, processes, and relationships from the ground up
- Thrive in a flexible, high-trust environment and can take partnership calls during standard business hours
- Enjoy both strategy and execution—you can help shape the partnership approach and are equally comfortable doing hands-on outreach and follow-up
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Repeated and coordinated use of your hands, wrists, and fingers to use and type on a computer keyboard, requiring the use of fine motor skills
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Compensation:
- Hourly base rate: $60-70 per hour for up to 10-20 hours per week
- Commission Structure: 5% of first-year contract revenue
- Contract type: 1099 contractor
