Job/Department Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Advancement Services (AVP) is a senioradministrative leadership role responsible for the comprehensive management and integrity of the university's philanthropic data, systems,and operations. This position provides enterprise-level vision, strategic direction, and executive oversight for all advancement servicesfunctions, including CRM management, gift processing, prospect research, and compliance. The AVP ensures that the entire advancementdivision (including alumni relations and fundraising teams) is supported by robust data, efficient processes, and effective technology tomaximize donor engagement a, manage institutional risk and advance philanthropic support for the university'smission.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in businessadministration, statistics, management information systems, computer science, or a related major is required.
AND
Aminimum of seven (7) years of experience in advancement services, non-profit management, or a related field within a higher educationsetting, including demonstrated leadership responsibility for supervising professional staff, managing complex operations, and contributingto strategic decision-making, with at least five (5) years in a leadership or managementrole.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be consideredspecialized skills:
- Master's degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Data Analytics, Philanthropy)
- Over 7years of experience in advancement services and higher education
- Over 7 years of experience of full-time administrative andsupervisory experience including work with Relational Database Management and Reporting Services
Time Base:Full-time
Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs7:00am-5:30pm
Anticipated Hiring Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per year. Salary commensurate with education andexperience of the individual selected.

Theyare excluded from the collective bargaining process, are not subject to probationary service, and do not receive tenure or permanent status.This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
The duties of this position will includeparticipation in a decision that may have a material/financial benefit to the incumbent. Therefore, this is a "designated position" underthe California State University's Conflict of Interest Code and the incumbent will be required to file a Form 700: Statement of EconomicInterest and is subject to the regulations of the Fair Political Practices Commission. Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a valid California Driver's License as well as continued completionand compliance of the CSU Defensive Driver's Training course
The person holding this position is considered a "General MandatedReporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSUExecutive Order 1083 (revised July 21, 2017) as a condition of employment.
This position requires occasional travel, evening, andweekend time commitments.
