Organizational Unit Overview:Job Duties:This fellowship is designed for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about college athletics and interested in pursuing a career in fundraising and development. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the Pirate Clubs mission of supporting ECU student-athletes.
The fellow will play a key role in donor engagement efforts, assisting in the cultivation and stewardship of current members while helping identify and develop new donor prospects. Through this experience, the fellow will build a strong foundation in annual giving, donor communications, event operations, and strategic fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in donor engagement and communication efforts, including phone outreach, email campaigns, and stewardship initiatives.
Support the execution of Pirate Club events, including hospitality functions and game day operations
Contribute to Impact Fund initiatives and membership growth strategies
Work closely with Assistant Director of Development on Student Pirate Club strategy and initiatives
Identify and research prospective donors to expand the Pirate Clubs membership base
Assist with data management, reporting, and donor tracking within CRM systems
Collaborate with athletics staff on special projects and departmental initiatives
Gain exposure to major gift strategy and donor cultivationMinimum Education/Experience:Bachelors degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
