Job Description SummaryThe University of South Alabama's Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking to hire a Coordinator, Medical Affairs Development.
Essential Functions - Supports the planning and execution of fundraising events, manages sponsorship efforts and assists with donor stewardship activities.
- Identifies potential corporate and individual prospects; executes solicitation strategies to secure event sponsorships and ticket sales.
- In collaboration with the Senior Special Events Coordinator, assists with planning and executing USA Health fundraising events, ensuring a high-quality experience for donors and attendees.
- Manages gift processing and assists with contract negotiations; manages day-of vendor relationships including catering, audiovisual, rentals, and venues.
- Assists the Director in meeting or exceeding annual event revenue goals.
- Provides exceptional organizational skills and manages multiple overlapping deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Serves as point of contact for event volunteer committees, providing support and resources to help achieve fundraising goals.
- Assists in developing event budgets and provides regular profit/loss and performance reports.
- Works with the USA Health Marketing team to execute event branding, invitations, social media campaigns, email communications, and print collateral.
- Maintains accurate records of participants, sponsors, and vendors in Raiser's Edge and other fundraising platforms.
- Supports event registration, ticketing, and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns using platforms such as Classy, TicketSignup, RunSignup, and similar fundraising databases.
- Coordinates post-event reporting, surveys, and timely donor and sponsor acknowledgements.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
