Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Academic Director for the Psychology, Youth & Early Childhood Studies area, the School’s largest academic unit, the area program assistant/college assistant will support administrative and academic operations for 2 undergraduate certificate programs, 2 bachelor’s degree programs, 3 master’s degree programs and 3 advanced certificate programs. The area program assistant/college assistant will perform the following duties:
- Serve as informed in-office admissions contact for prospective students and assist with recruitment activities
- Maintain student and faculty contact lists and communication records
- Support outreach campaigns (email reminders, event invitations) and other communications to students and faculty
- Coordinate web and print material updates
- Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes of faculty and staff meetings
- Assist with record-keeping including tracking student progress toward degree, updating faculty files, and maintaining program documents and document repositories
- Enter, maintain and update student data in institutional systems
- Participate in end-of-semester academic review and perform needed follow-up with student records
- Conduct basic research (benchmarking other programs, gathering resources for new programs)
- Assist with Online Psychology Academy campus visits and recruitment events
- Collaborate with the Academic Program Manager and Academic Program Specialist on tasks and projects supporting students, staff, and faculty
- Support program development, course site updates, student service delivery, outcome evaluation, enrollment, retention, and other projects as assigned

- Experience providing administrative support in a higher education setting
- Ability to be detail oriented, address concurrent issues and adapt easily to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel; ability to easily learn new software
- Strong writing, reporting, editing and verbal communication skills
