Location (Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary Prepares financial reports, develops and maintains financial models, conducts ad-hoc analysis, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability. Leverages financial expertise and analytical skills, plays a key role in evaluating business performance, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to optimize financial outcomes and achieve long-term objectives.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Partners with the leadership team to develop annual operating budgets which ensure fiscal responsibility and optimization of our resources to achieve strategic goals
2. Serves as the primary steward of the Division's reserve balance, with responsibility for tracking, forecasting, and clearly communicating reserve position to senior Leadership
3. Uploads and maintains budget information into financial software
4. Develops and analyzes reporting to support critical decision making for Senior Management, including budget to actual operational results, division wide dashboards, reserve balances and forecasts, headcount and compensation status, scholarship spending, and other high impact financial analyses
5. Submits budget amendments for both operating and payroll expense as needed
6. Develops forecasts quarterly and as needed
7. Prepares journal entries for operating budget items as necessary
8. Provide support to the immediate supervisor and executive leadership, including preparation of ad hoc analyses, development of materials for leadership and Board presentations, and support in communicating complex financial results to key stakeholders
9. Collaborate with Financial Aid to track and report scholarship spending, identifying opportunities to increase scholarship utilization and overall award impact. Prepare forecasts to ensure the Division achieves its strategic goal for scholarship spending
10 Extracts and calculates financial information for annual endowments and manages distribution process, prepares, and communicates college specific endowment reporting for accreditation requirements
11. Creates forecasts and fields questions from business partners about endowment balances and spending
12. Track, report, and forecast Division headcount and salary budgets, providing recommendations to optimize staffing and compensation resources.
13. Build financial models to evaluate new initiatives, leveraging system extracted data and advanced Excel functions to provide robust analyses.
Required Qualifications Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accountancy, Finance, Business or related field.
Required ExperienceFour (4) years of related work experience in accounting, budgeting and analysis, and/or financial reporting with advanced level experience in querying data and Excel
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational QualificationsAn advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Proposed Salary The proposed salary for this position is $80,000 - $93,000.

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGEAdvanced proficiency in querying data from financial software to extract and analyze critical financial information.
Advanced level experience with Excel (managing data, pivot tables, complex formulas, building financial models)
Basic understanding of accounting principles
SKILLSExcellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
