About the Role
We are seeking a highly outgoing, organized, and self-directed Donor Engagement & Growth Associate to help build and strengthen our community of supporters.
This is a people-first, relationship-focused role. You will spend much of your time reaching out to donors and supporters, following up consistently, and helping turn interest into long-term engagement.
This position is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, outreach, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Reach out to donors and supporters via phone, email, and in-person
- Follow up consistently and build authentic relationships
- Help re-engage past supporters and strengthen current donor relationships
- Track outreach and next steps using simple systems (CRM or spreadsheets)
- Support donor communications and stewardship efforts
- Assist with small events and community gatherings
- Identify potential donors, connectors, and partnership opportunities
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships
- Organized, reliable, and strong on follow-through
- Self-starter who takes initiative and manages their time well
- Interest in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven work
Strongly Preferred:
- Spanish-speaking (conversational or professional level)
- Experience engaging across cultures or communities
- Background in outreach, organizing, events, hospitality, or community engagement
- Familiarity with the Twin Cities community
Compensation & Details
- $25/hour
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- June–December
- Flexible schedule, with some evening/weekend availability
