As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and proactive Administrative & Programme Assistant to help support day-to-day operations and programme execution.
Position Summary
The Administrative & Programme Assistant will play a key support role across organizational operations, communications, research, and programme coordination. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment and enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with meaningful nonprofit work.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, tech-savvy (e.g. Google Suite, Slack, WhatsApp, Asana, Hubspot), and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to support both internal operations and external-facing initiatives. We are seeking candidates who bring a strong alignment with our mission and values, and prioritize applicants who demonstrate humility, accountability, and a clear commitment to working in partnership with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to leadership and programme teams
- Manage calendars, meeting coordination, scheduling, and follow-up communications
- Assist with document preparation, data entry, reporting, and internal tracking systems
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and operational documentation
- Support inbox management and communication organization when needed
Research & Programme Support
- Conduct internet and market research related to nonprofit programmes, partnerships, funding opportunities, and community initiatives
- Compile findings into organized summaries, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Assist with programme coordination, logistics, and implementation support
- Help track project timelines, deliverables, and programme-related documentation
- Support grant research and donor-related administrative tasks as needed
Communications & Engagement
- Organize and maintain contact databases, stakeholder lists, and communication records
- Assist with social media engagement and content coordination across organizational platforms
- Help draft internal and external communications, newsletters, and outreach materials
- Support relationship management efforts with partners, donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders
Events & Special Projects
- Assist with virtual and in-person event coordination, scheduling, logistics, and follow-up
- Support planning for nonprofit campaigns, meetings, workshops, and fundraising initiatives
- Collaborate closely with leadership on special projects and organizational priorities
- Provide flexible support across evolving operational and programme needs
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Strong internet research and information-gathering abilities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
- Proactive and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
- Experience using CRM or database management tools such as HubSpot
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Previous experience in nonprofit operations, administration, executive support, or programme coordination is a plus
- Experience supporting events, community initiatives, or mission-driven organizations
- Passion for humanitarian, charitable, or community-centered work
- Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams is a plus
- Energized by helping a growing organization operate effectively
Compensation & Time Commitment
£22/hour with up to 15 hours per week. This is a contracted and part-time role with the potential to grow in scope and hours based on performance.
