Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing plans that align with our objectives. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. You will work closely with the Foundation's team, donors, volunteers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. With Cowichan’s new hospital under construction, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be part of the Cowichan Valley’s biggest project and largest fundraising campaign. The candidate should have a proven track record in social media management, marketing, communications, and the development of marketing strategies. Part of this role may change as our Communications Director will be on Maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Bring ideas to the table. Identify key target audiences and outline strategies to effectively reach and engage them.
Campaign Development: Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns that leverage a mix of digital, social media, email, and traditional marketing channels oversight of video production. Ensure all campaigns are cohesive and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
Social Media Management: Oversee the development and execution of the social media strategy. Create, schedule, and manage content across all social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Content Creation: Develop compelling content that resonates with target audiences, including website copy, social media posts, email newsletters, and press releases. Maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all content.
Manage our monthly 50/50 – oversight, maintenance, and marketing.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and communications efforts. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes. Prepare regular reports to present to senior management .Campaign set up/database.
Brand Management: Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication materials. Develop guidelines and best practices for internal and external communications.
Event Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and promotion of marketing events, and other promotional activities. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful execution.
Website development - review current site and make suggestions- revisions and outsource where required.
Annual Appeal - co-ordination, implementation, print/mail.
Graphic design
Create Annual and Impact Reports
Create Media- press releases, news, radio

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role. Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing communications plans.
Valid BC Driver's license and vehicle

Skills:

Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
Expertise in social media platforms, content management systems, and marketing analytics tools.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with content creation, including graphic design and video production, is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Position Details:

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
Full-Time: In office, occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Location: Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.
