The Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre (ORCC) provides trauma-informed support to people in Ottawa and surrounding areas who have experienced sexual and/or gender-based violence. ORCC is a survivorcentred, feminist, anti-oppressive organization committed to advancing equitable, accessible, and culturally responsive services.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Manager to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight of our counselling services. This is a key leadership role supporting highquality service delivery while contributing to the continued growth and evolution of ORCC’s clinical programming.

About the Role

Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Executive Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible for:

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

Providing clinical supervision and oversight in alignment with CRPO and/or OCSWSSW standards
Supporting ethical decision-making, case consultation, and complex case management
Guiding staff in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and duty-to-report situations
Reviewing clinical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and PHIPA compliance
Fostering a collaborative, trauma-informed clinical culture

Clinical Operations & Service Oversight

Overseeing day-to-day counselling operations including scheduling, caseload distribution, and clinical logistics
Monitoring service utilization and funder requirements
Supporting development and delivery of therapeutic group programming
Ensuring timely completion of required documentation and reporting
Developing and monitoring annual counselling service work plans

Team Development & Training

Leading hiring, onboarding, and orientation of counselling staff and students
Developing and implementing training and professional development plans
Identifying emerging training needs and maintaining clinical tools and resources

Regulatory & Community Engagement

Ensuring compliance with relevant Ontario legislation and professional standards
Supporting secure record management practices
Responding to critical incidents in a trauma-informed manner
Building and maintaining community referral pathways across the Ottawa region

Over time, this role may expand to include program development, evaluation, strategic planning, and funding support in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychotherapy, or related field
Member in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO
Authorized to practice psychotherapy within scope
Completion of recognized clinical supervision training
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in trauma, crisis intervention, or mental health settings
Experience working with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence
Experience supporting marginalized and underserved communities
Preferred: Two (2)+ years providing clinical supervision and/or program oversight
Training in evidence-informed trauma therapies (e.g., EMDR, CPT, PE, TF-CBT) considered an asset

Skills & Competencies

Strong clinical judgment and advanced crisis management skills
Leadership grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and trauma-informed practice
Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages are an asset • Ability to travel within the Ottawa region as required

Working Conditions

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Hybrid model (in-person and virtual responsibilities)
Vulnerable sector police record check required

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $70,000–$100,000 commensurate with experience
Total compensation package: $87,000–$128,000 annually
