Saint Anselm College, a Catholic college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking an Associate Director for Donor Relations and Stewardship who works collaboratively with College Advancement, College Communications and Marketing (CCM), and others as needed, to create and sustain communication strategies and materials for engaging donors. Working together with the Assistant Director for Advancement Communications in CCM, the Associate Director will create communications primarily focused on individual donors, such as customized major gift proposals and acknowledgments; stewardship reports; and recognition materials.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-platform donor stewardship and acknowledgement plan.
- Enhance current processes for creation of proposals and gift agreements to support College Advancement fundraising.
- Serve as a liaison with College Advancement and with the College's marketing team to coordinate communications support for projects such as events and special purpose fundraising and/or engagement campaigns.
- Work with College Advancement and College Communications and Marketing directors and staff, especially the Assistant Director for Advancement Communications, on stewardship-focused e-communications content and management.
- Co-manage Advancement Communications calendar and workflow, including regular meetings with Advancement divisions and colleagues to coordinate and plan print and e-communications for Advancement initiatives and events.
- Proofread & copy edit as necessary for quality assurance, track and analyze communications effectiveness.
- Support the Senior Vice President for College Advancement's communications with the Saint Anselm College Board of Trustees, College executive leadership, and donors.

Required Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in order to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions.
- An ability to work collaboratively with people from a variety of departments and disciplines, and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Critical thinking, good judgment, attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Photoshop; familiarity with InDesign helpful but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Facility in the use of digital and social media, with an emphasis on its use for philanthropic marketing, stewardship and communications.
- Excellent writing skills, creativity, and the ability to find a new angle or a compelling story.
- Flexibility and a sense of humor.
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree (relevant advanced degree preferred) and three to five years related work experience in a development office environment, higher education non-profit setting with a combination or education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
