Position Summary
This position is responsible to identify, qualify, and solicit major gift prospects and to steward a specific portfolio of major gift prospects in order to secure immediate and long-term gift revenue required by the institution.Education Required

Primary Duties
1. Identify, qualify, solicit, and steward a specific portfolio of Annual Fund and Major gift prospects (alumni, parents, and friends).
2. Successfully solicit a portfolio of donors for Annual Fund and Major gifts.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of charitable giving techniques and their tax implications.
4. Identify prospects in portfolio that merit referral to the senior leadership fundraising team.
5. Represent Messiah University to a variety of constituencies, groups, and individuals for the purpose of introducing Messiah University.
6. Manage the budget for this position.
7. Ensure that an institutional record of key contacts/conversations/communication is properly documented.
8. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
9. Specific and measurable goals will be established with supervisor.
10. Keep current on charitable giving techniques and their tax implications.Secondary Duties
