POSITION OVERVIEW
ProGeorgia seeks a leader to join the team as its Finance Manager, responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with ProGeorgia’s staff to establish sound financial strategies that align with the organization’s strategic goals and support the needs of the table partners. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, fund allocation, and reporting. They will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage relationships with donors and third-party financial institutions, and streamline financial processes. In addition, the Finance Manager will develop and implement financial strategies to enhance operational efficiency, maintain fiscal integrity, and support long-term sustainability. They will work to establish clear financial policies and procedures, lead financial planning initiatives, and collaborate with leadership to support decision-making. This role will be key in maintaining transparency, driving financial success, and contributing to the overall strategic vision of ProGeorgia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Finance Manager, reports to the CEO and is responsible for the following:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, electronic banking, monthly reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements for review by the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Administer and manage all insurance policies for ProGeorgia.
- Oversee the distribution and allocation of new incoming funds to ensure they align with the organization's financial goals and budgetary requirements. This includes analyzing funding needs across different departments or projects, ensuring compliance with donor or investor stipulations, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource utilization.
- Develop detailed fiscal year budgets and corresponding cash flow projections to be presented to the Board for approval.
- Oversee all payroll functions and benefits administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing and invoice processing.
- Prepare budgets for grant applications and manage financial reporting and grant invoicing.
- Oversee and manage external stakeholders
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- Expertise in handling accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, electronic banking, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to prepare, present, and analyze financial statements and reports for the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Strong skills in developing fiscal year budgets, managing cash flow projections, and preparing financial documentation for grant applications.
- Familiarity with audit processes, compliance regulations, and managing the organization's annual audit.
- Experience in managing financial reporting for grants, allocating funds, and ensuring compliance with donor or investor stipulations.
- Capacity to oversee payroll, benefits administration, and external stakeholders, invoice processing, and ensure financial processes align with the organizational goals.
- Familiar with financial management systems and related tools for processing payroll and other financial functions,

- Strong financial and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to be a self-starter with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Proficient in Google Suites, Asana, and MacBook.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities are assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, and business is required.
- 5 years or more in managing a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
LOCATION The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and requires working a remote schedule with some required travel (20%).
REPORT TO: Chief Executive Officer
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary is up to $125,000 based on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
