Mitchell College is seeking to hire an Advancement Stewardship Coordinator who will serve as a member of the Advancement team with duties related to fundraising and stewardship of all College constituencies: alumni, parents, internal and external community members. With a primary focus on database management, gift processing, acknowledgment, and data analytics and reporting, the Stewardship Officer Coordinator also supports the activities of the Advancement Office by assisting with prospect/donor research, Foundation and scholarship fund management, and hands-on coordination of donor events and meetings. The Advancement Stewardship coordinator liaises with other college departments and constituencies as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the data input, data integrity, and accuracy of the Raiser’s Edge constituent database management system.
- Coordinate and prioritize gift processing and ensure the accuracy of donations and donor intent. Prepare and review timely gift acknowledgment letters/receipts for signature by the Advancement Director and President, as appropriate to gift type and level. Benchmark and report on gift receipting production in accordance with Mitchell’s policy, IRS, and CASE standards.
- Conduct research to identify and qualify donor prospects. Assist in establishing a prospect management tracking system within Raiser’s Edge for department fundraiser(s).
- Support fundraising activities by creating queries and reports in Raiser’s Edge to track progress, prepare mailings, plan events, track registrations, report events, and run standard and custom gift reports.
- Coordinate and manage the creation of donor reports, as needed by the Advancement and President’s office, including monthly gift reports
- Record prospect and donor information in Raiser’s Edge.
- Work with the Finance department to smoothly coordinate the depositing of funds received and ensure that they are spent as donors intended.
- Verifies and imports new constituents into the database
- The primary contact between the Office of Advancement and Raisers Edge. Updates the office on all database product changes and updates.
- Is the primary Raisers Edge liaison with the Office of Institutional Technology
- Work with the Finance department to smoothly coordinate the depositing of funds received and ensure thatthey are spent as intended by donors.
- Work with the Advancement Director/team and other College departments in planning and executing cultivation events, dinners, and individual meetings, including President’s Advisory Council meetings, to support effective donor relations and fundraising goals.

Required Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a related field required.
- Progressive experience in advancement services (development research and database information systems) in a higher education or non-profit sector fundraising environment.
- A working technical experience with computers, sophisticated internet research, and relational databases.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, NXT, NetCommunity, and Microsoft Office are required.
- Strong project management skills.
