Viginia Union University (VUU) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Fundraising Manager to lead efforts in securing unrestricted philanthropic support. This pivotal role will drive fundraising initiatives to fuel entrepreneurial enterprises and provide student scholarships, advancing the mission and growth of Virginia Union University's affiliated endeavors.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive fundraising strategies focused on raising unrestricted donations.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, corporations, and foundations to secure major gifts and annual contributions.
- Craft compelling proposals, campaigns, and communications that highlight VU Management Corporation's impact on entrepreneurship and student success.
- Coordinate and host donor engagement events, recognition programs, and fundraising campaigns.
- Identify new fundraising opportunities and expand the prospect pipeline through research and strategic networking.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising progress, forecasting, and donor engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising practices and maintain accurate donor records.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE certification preferred.
- 5+ years of proven fundraising experience, with a track record of securing major gifts and unrestricted funds.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management and organizational abilities.
