DescriptionWilson College is seeking a detail-oriented and donor-focused professional to join our Institutional Advancement team as a
Gift Processing and Donor Services Specialist. In this essential role, you'll help drive the College's fundraising success by managing donor records, processing charitable contributions, and producing accurate financial and donor-related reports. The position plays a key role in ensuring data integrity and delivering exceptional donor service, all in support of Wilson's mission and community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Accurately process all charitable gifts to the College, ensuring timely entry and documentation. This includes recording donations, filing copies of checks and related documents, and maintaining batch records.
- Prepare and distribute acknowledgment letters, including obtaining appropriate signatures and ensuring timely mailing to donors.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate constituent records in both the donor database and physical files.
- Respond to donor inquiries regarding the giving process and provide prompt follow-up as needed.
- Generate financial, demographic, and donor-related reports for internal use, audits, and external reporting.
- Reconcile gift records with the Business Office and assist in preparing documentation for audits and Board of Trustees meetings.
- Ensure the integrity of data by following established data entry procedures and quality standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of donor recognition events and stewardship initiatives.
- Provide administrative support, including answering phones and managing mail, as needed.
- Participate in campus committees or special projects as requested.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:- Full-time, regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support events and activities coordinated by the Office of Institutional Advancement.
TRAVEL:- Minimal travel; may attend professional development conferences.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior experience in database management and gift processing, preferably in a nonprofit or higher education setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with Raiser's Edge and RE NXT is strongly preferred.
