Job PurposeThe purpose of this position is to generate gifts to support Tennessee Tech athletic teams and the Athletic Department by developing and implementing a strategic annual giving solicitation plan and calendar.

Essential Functions Work with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and the Executive Director of the Crawford Alumni Center (CAC) to plan, develop, implement, and grow an annual giving program for Tennessee Tech athletics. Communicate the plan with the Athletics and the Advancement Division in a timely fashion. Create and maintain an athletic annual giving schedule that includes direct mail, crowdfunding, online giving, philanthropic commerce, potential phone-a-thon campaigns, and other technologies. Utilize annual giving tools (including direct mail, email, crowdfunding, and online giving) to inform, engage, and solicit current, lapsed, and prospective donors. Monitor, report, and analyze outcomes. Analyze metrics of each annual giving appeal and initiative to determine how to increase giving. Create retention and pipeline strategies for leadership annual giving and major giving. Work with and cultivate relationships with coaches from each athletic team and the Director of Athletics to determine appropriate initiatives to meet fundraising goals. Steward and develop relationships with donors who give to athletics initiatives. Attend athletics games and events as needed. Manage athletic giving societies including, but not limited to, annual fund and revenue sharing clubs. Coordinate, prepare, and execute annual giving stewardship efforts. Manage digital platforms for university-wide crowdfunding campaigns for athletics. Create a marketing plan for digital and print appeals and initiatives including direct mail letters, emails, pamphlets, postcards, and webpages. Work with Assistant Director to maintain an active level of written and digital correspondence with all donors. Support CAC and University Advancement events and assist with other annual giving initiatives as needed, at the direction of the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and the Executive Director of the CAC.Communicate and work with University Advancement and Athletic staff to prepare for upcoming annual giving initiatives.
Minimum QualificationsA bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in fundraising, higher education, or nonprofit work, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. An outgoing personality with the ability to engage alumni and donors of diverse backgrounds is essential, as is flexibility to attend athletic events and related activities as needed.
Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and knowledge of Tennessee Tech's athletic programs, along with experience using Raiser's Edge and a solid understanding of University Advancement policies and procedures. A minimum of two years' experience in annual giving is preferred, as well as prior experience as a student-athlete or within a collegiate athletic department.
Work Hours: Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 10.
