Advancement - Alumni Relations
Location: New Orleans, LA
SummaryThe Director of Strategy and Operations serves as a strategic partner to the Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations, overseeing key internal and external functions that drive organizational effectiveness and alumni engagement. This role leads strategic planning, data and CRM operations, financial oversight, personnel administration, and communications and stewardship strategy and plays a key role in board management and governance. Acting as a liaison across Advancement and campus partners, the Director ensures alignment of goals, systems, and reporting, while managing the operations of the Bea Field Alumni House and alumni benefits programs. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and performance metrics, the Director plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of Tulane Alumni Relations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative, evaluate and initiate new ideas, work independently, and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals of diverse backgrounds externally, and internally at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to motivate staff and volunteers.
- Ability to travel, organize meetings, and facilitate planning.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office.

Required Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's Degree and six (6) years of progressively responsible program management or similar experience in a higher education setting.
OR- High School Diploma or equivalent, and 10 years' transferable experience.

Preferred Qualifications:- Some experience with personnel and/or board management experience, budget management, strategic planning and/or facilities management.

Compensation Information
