Salary Range:$105,300-$150,000

Position Summary
The Assistant Vice President of Principal Gift Operations and University Priorities serves as astrategist and coordinator for presidential prospects, principal gifts, and the Temple 150 donor portfolio. Reporting to the SeniorAssociate Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Assistant Vice President partners closely with the President's Office to ensurethe university's most significant fundraising opportunities are strategically aligned, thoughtfully sequenced, and executed with disciplineand purpose.
The Assistant Vice President provides leadership for the planning, coordination, and tracking of high-impact engagement,cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for Temple's top donors and prospects. This includes oversight of personalizedstewardship efforts that demonstrate philanthropic impact, ensure accountability to donor intent, and strengthen long-term relationshipswith the university's most significant supporters. Working in close collaboration with the Office of the President, academic leadership, andadvancement partners, the Assistant Vice President ensures a coordinated, elevated donor experience that integrates engagement, recognition,and impact reporting.
By bridging Institutional Advancement, the President's Office, and academic leadership, the Assistant VicePresident strengthens Temple University's ability to focus presidential time on the highest-value opportunities, advance transformationaland principal gifts, and drive progress toward institutional and campaign priorities. Success in this role is measured by the quality andreadiness of presidential prospects, momentum within the Temple 150 portfolio, effectiveness of principal gift strategies, and strongalignment across university leadership.

- This position requiresthe following background checks: Handle Purchasing Cards, Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, or manage financial transactions background check.Access to confidential or sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII) background check.
- Must have the ability to worknights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.
Required Education and Experience- Master's degree.
- Atleast eight (8) years of experience in development, constituent, or campaign management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex content into compelling cases for supportand to communicate Temple University's mission.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience setting goals,holding teams accountable, and collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability todevelop and implement both long- and short-term fundraising plans.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to cultivaterelationships with high-net-worth individuals, volunteers, and diverse donors.
- Strong organizational and project managementskills, including pipeline and portfolio management.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making and fundraising metrics.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in philanthropy and fundraising.
- Familiarity with donor databases (e.g. Salesforce, orsimilar CRM).
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid workarrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
