Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Assistant Director of Donor Relations will support all stewardship and communications efforts for the Office of University Advancement. Reporting to the Executive Director of Donor Relations, the Assistant Director will serve as the in-house videographer, photographer, and graphic designer providing support to units such as Donor Relations, Annual Giving, Major Gifts, and Planned Giving. This individual will also use design programs and advancement technologies to prepare reports, including scholarship reports, impact reports, annual reports, and other publications. Other responsibilities include coordinating first-time donor mailings, creating campaigns using ThankView and Give Campus platforms, compiling information for reports, maintaining the online donor website, and supporting major events such as the Distinguished President's Trust Dinner and Forever ETSU.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of donor relations practices and its relevance to a university fundraising operation Ability to use technology to create reports, both PDF and digital
- Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Premiere Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom, and Acrobat;
- Skill in using Canva for graphic design and visual content creation
- Ability to operate videography equipment, including cameras, microphones, and LED lighting panels, to produce high-quality digital and video content.
- Ability to shoot and edit photographs using Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom
- Ability to shoot and edit video using Adobe solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to make editorial decisions
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or advancement communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Digital Media or Communication
- Experience using donor relations platforms such as Thank View and ODDER

- Frequent typing or keyboard use
- Visual acuity to read printed and electronic materials
- Working in confined spaces or high spaces
- Repetitive wrist or arm movements
