Position Summary:The Advancement Communications Coordinator supports the development and execution of communications that advance fundraising, stewardship, alumni relations, and donor engagement goals. This role assists with Advancement-focused communications across email, social media, and print channels and serves as a primary point of coordination between the Advancement Office and the College's Marketing and Communications department.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Advancement, the Coordinator produces donor- and alumni-facing content, supports social media and email communications, assists with printed fundraising materials, helps respond to constituent inquiries, and provides coordination support for Advancement-related speaker series programming and major institutional events.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented communicator who is organized, collaborative, and comfortable supporting multiple projects tied to fundraising and engagement initiatives.
Advancement Communications Support:- Assist in drafting and distributing Advancement email communications, including stewardship messages, alumni updates, and event invitations.
- Support execution of Advancement communications aligned with fundraising and engagement priorities.
- Maintain and update communications calendars and project timelines.
- Edit and format donor and alumni-facing content.
Social Media and Digital Content:- Assist in managing Advancement social media channels.
- Create and schedule posts highlighting donor impact, student success, alumni stories, and events.
- Monitor engagement and elevate inquiries to appropriate Advancement staff.
- Track basic engagement metrics.
Print and Donor Materials:- Support development and coordination of Advancement print and digital materials.
- Assist with Annual Impact Reports, appeal materials, stewardship pieces, and event invitations.
- Draft acknowledgment templates and coordinate updates as needed.
- Work with Marketing to finalize designs and production.
Donor and Alumni Inquiry Coordination:- Help respond to general inquiries from alumni, donors, and friends.
- Route gift-related or stewardship matters to appropriate Advancement staff.
- Ensure timely, professional responses to constituents.
Marketing Liaison Support:- Coordinate Advancement project requests with Marketing.
- Track project timelines and approvals.
- Ensure Advancement materials follow institutional brand standards.
Speaker Series and Event Support:- Provide coordination support for Albright's speaker series.
- Assist with logistics, promotion, and follow-up communications.
- Support communications and materials for Gala, Homecoming and Family Weekend, Commencement, Giving Day, and donor events.
- Participate in event execution as needed.
Collaboration:- Work closely with Advancement staff to support fundraising and stewardship initiatives.
- Participate in communications planning discussions.
- Support campaign messaging as directed.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience in communications, marketing, or nonprofit engagement.
- Familiarity with social media and email communication platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Collaborative work style and strong attention to detail.
- Customer service mindset when communicating with alumni and donors.
