Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, Marketing, and Business Development will report to the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement, Operations, and Administration. In this role, the Associate Director will oversee and manage a team charged initiating and executing of marketing strategies designed to generate revenue through strategic partnerships and targeted campaigns.
Manages a staff that maintains an expansive portfolio of commissionable contract vendors and creates opportunities to leverage revenue from those contracts. Manages the staff that executes the day-to-day process of fulfilling and tracking corporate partner marketing commitments, including working with all departments to implement agreed upon components. Sets and track revenue goals and reports said goals; prepares summaries for corporate partners. Assists in the management and fulfillment of commission-based programs, including, but not limited to credit card, insurance, and class rings.
Develop and implement a strategy and process for soliciting sponsorship, advertising, and business development opportunities to support Alumni Association programs and publications. Maintains a lead management system for identifying, evaluating, and managing business prospects and current business partners. Oversees and manages and maintains system for communicating sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Manages the assistant director responsible for coordinating the consultative sales process of all organization assets (magazine, website, social media, email, SFF, events, and programs), including participating in client meetings to help demonstrate ROI for current and prospective clients.
Oversees and manages the staff charged with initiating and executing an annual marketing plan to create awareness around the Alumni Associations programs and services. Represents and strengthens marketing efforts at event programming and tabling; including but not limited to homecoming, commencement, tailgates, reunions, kickoff events, and networking events, as assigned. Work collaboratively with internal peers to evaluate emerging opportunities, new assets, and marketing elements.
Oversee development opportunities to increase revenue to the Seminole Forever Endowment Fund. Manage the implementation strategy and process for add-on gifts to existing event and item purchases and identifies opportunities to solicit outright gifts in collaboration with Annual Giving. Oversees the seasonal revenue opportunities through the production of unique gifts. Collaborates with Gifts Processing to track, report, and acknowledge donations.
Manages inquiries and procedures related to gifts processing and product fulfillment. Manages the staff resource for customer service issues related to donations and benefits and assists with handling correspondence and customer service.
Attends meetings for/with director, as needed. Keeps abreast of new alumni initiatives utilizing CAMMP network and other available resources. Contributes to the preparation of reports for national board or senior staffers as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Conduct market research on customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor strategies to inform our marketing efforts; Monitor sales performance over specific campaign to determine which products are gaining traction and which are declining; Compile trend reports that summarize findings on which products are gaining traction and which are declining; Identify seasonal trends by analyzing historical data to recognize seasonal patterns in product demand and adjust marketing strategy accordingly.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain.
