Program Manager, Donor Engagement The Donor Engagement Program Manager is part of a team responsible foradvancing the ASU Foundation's relationships with benefactors to provide positive experiences, enhance donor retention, and facilitatefuture giving. In partnership with the director and internal stakeholders, this role supports the implementation and coordination of donorengagement programs, ASU President's Club and ASU Women and Philanthropy. The role maintains key operational functions, including datamanagement, tracking activity, and facilitating proper program documentation to ensure accurate reporting and effective project delivery.This position also collaborates closely with engagement and outreach teams, unit development leads and partners across ASU EnterprisePartners to implement communication and engagement initiatives. This individual applies critical thinking to identify opportunities tostreamline processes and improve the coordination of engagement efforts. This position reports to the Director of Donor Engagement and mayinclude supervisory responsibilities.
What you'll do
- Manages and maintains President's Club and Women andPhilanthropy supporter records to accurately track giving history, membership period, leadership giving status, etc.
- Managesand leads the monthly engagement program's membership processes, including acknowledgments, renewal reminders, past-due outreach, andreporting related to donor participation and revenue projections
- Manages operational aspects of the annual Women andPhilanthropy grant funding process, including application coordination, review processes, presentation logistics, and engagement with theWomen and Philanthropy Grant Review Committee (e.g., timeline management, scheduling, and preparation of meetingmaterials).
- Supports the planning and execution of signature engagement program events, including materials preparation andday-of coordination
- Assists in processing the engagement program's philanthropic gifts and commitments, including creating orupdating opportunities, linking gifts, preparing deposit documentation, gift receipts, reconciliation, and coordinating with ASUEP Financeto ensure accurate recording and timely processing
- Collaborates with the Engagement and Outreach development team to providehigh-level donor service, coordinating specialized experiences such as campus tours, ticket requests, and other tailored engagementopportunities
- Provides support for the development, review, and coordination of communications and collateral for engagementprograms, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines
- Supports the development and implementation of recognitionstrategies for engagement program supporters, including giving milestones, lifetime or leadership members, and any other recognitionopportunities
- Serves as the point person for donor inquiries, collaborating with internal teams to provide a timely responseto donors
- Utilizes databases, reporting tools and related technology to support program operations and enhance the executionof donor engagement strategies
- Provides programmatic and operational support to the Director of Donor Engagement on keyinitiatives, projects, and priorities related to engagement programs
- Participates in key meetings, collaborating with teamsacross ASU Enterprise Partners to support project objectives set by leadership and perform associated administrative functions

- Display high analytical processing skills, being able to comprehend, analyze, maintain, and work withlarge amounts of data within spreadsheets and have or quickly gain proficiency in various software programs.

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of donor database, contact management and tracking systems:Salesforce, Workday, other donor database system(s), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), and other donorrelations-related technology tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to conduct research, gather data,analyze information, and prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports and documents to support development objectives
- Abilityto compose content accurately; possesses strong business-style writing, proofreading and editing skills
- Maintain a highdegree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Foundation and University business and confidentialconstituent information.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, to demonstrate an understanding of ethics related to developmentactivities, and to use discretion in interactions with donors, prospects, volunteers, and others
- Ability to work bothindependently and as part of a team.
- Ability to represent the institution well.
- An advocate's belief in thevision of ASU as the New American University.
- This position requires some early mornings and evenings to accommodate workevents
- Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
Relevant qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two (2) years' of non-profit, project management, administrative experience,fundraising, and/or advancement
- Or any equivalent combination of project management and/or administrative experience thatprovides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Preferred education and experience
- Preferencegiven to candidates with writing, project management, administrative, non-profit development, customer service, and data managementexperience
- Experience using Salesforce and Apsona; donor database, contact management and tracking systems
- Experience using ThankView and Survey Monkey; marketing and communications-related technology tools
