Required Qualifications:- Three years of professional experience in alumni relations, advancement, or a related field.

- Experience working within Blackbaud Raisers Edge (or a similar CRM database) to manage alumni and engagement data.
- Experience working with digital engagement and giving platforms such as GiveCampus or similar tools.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively within a complex organization.
Preferred Qualifications:- Five years of progressively responsible experience in a university advancement or alumni relations office.
- Experience supervising staff or coordinating team workflows.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and ensure successful execution of initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using engagement data or metrics to evaluate program success and inform engagement strategies.
Job Description:The Office of Alumni Engagement seeks an enthusiastic and highly organized professional to join the team as Director of Alumni Engagement. The Director provides operational leadership for alumni engagement initiatives designed to grow participation and strengthen alumni connection among Texas States more than 245,000 alumni. Texas States alumni engagement strategy emphasizes a digital-first approach that expands alumni participation and supports discovery of alumni interested in volunteering and philanthropy through scalable outreach initiatives, including Virtual Engagement Officer outreach strategies.This position is a member of the Office of Alumni Engagement, which works in partnership with the Texas State Alumni Association, a 501(3) nonprofit organization and its Board of Directors. The Office of Alumni Engagement operates within the Division of University Advancement, which also includes Development and Donor Engagement. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement.Job Duties:- Directs and supervises the day-to-day activities of the alumni engagement team, providing operational leadership through clear timelines, workflows, and processes that ensure strong project management, communication, and follow-through across programs and initiatives.
- Leads the Forever Bobcats Life Membership program, overseeing program operations and engagement initiatives that expand alumni participation and grow philanthropic support for the Texas State Alumni Association.
- Leads operational planning and execution of the annual Distinguished Alumni Gala and oversees implementation of other signature alumni programming including game day activities, Ring Celebration, and regional alumni events.
- Provides leadership for alumni volunteer engagement efforts, supporting the team in cultivating alumni relationships, identifying opportunities for meaningful volunteer involvement, and ensuring appropriate placement and coordination with campus and Advancement partners.
- Works with Development Officers to engage alumni donors and prospects through alumni programming and events.
- Collaborates with University Advancement communications to develop strategies that engage alumni through digital and traditional channels including email, social media, web content, and print communications.
- Builds relationships across campus to provide leadership, expertise, and collaboration on opportunities to increase alumni engagement in support of university priorities.
- Utilizes engagement data and metrics to evaluate program impact and identify opportunities to expand alumni engagement.
- Able to travel and willing to work weekend and evening hours as required for events and programming.
- Other duties as assigned.
