Primary Purpose:
Integrates and strengthens the University's intercollegiate athletic teams and Department of Athletics brand, identity, national presence, and overall messaging and communication while supporting corporate partnerships, fundraising efforts, and revenue-driven strategies.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains all media distribution lists and oversees the media relations plan for the Sports Information unit, promoting NSU Athletics on a local, state and national level.
2. Writes, edits, and oversees the dissemination of press releases, feature stories, and website content.
3. Assists coaches, teams, student-athletes, and marketing staff in promoting community engagement initiatives and special events.
4. Contributes written and visual content to departmental social media platforms in alignment with brand standards.
5. Tracks and analyzes engagement metrics to evaluate content effectiveness and inform strategy.
6. Coordinates messaging between communications and development units to ensure consistency in donor and sponsor outreach.
7. Supports ticket sales, premium seating initiatives, and revenue-generating events through strategic communication campaigns.
8. Assists in leveraging and establishing corporate partnerships to enhance marketing, promotion, and branding efforts.
9. Develops sponsored content opportunities and branded storytelling initiatives that align with corporate sponsorships.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
11. Completes special projects as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of communications-related work along with fundraising.
