Essential Job DutiesReposted on July 7, 2023Advancement Services- Manages a team of professionals that work day-to-day in processing, accounting, and reporting on donor gift activity in service to the office's mission of serving the constituents of the university
- Oversees key workflows related to the processing and handling of financial instruments and online gifts and complies and archives all materials related to donors' wishes
- Is an expert level user of the office's primary CRM, the Raiser's Edge, and works with the advancement services team to oversee gift processing, reporting, and the fielding and resolution of donor inquiries
- Work with schools and colleges to ensure that funds given by donors is accounted for and distributed per donors' intent and manages the development of reports to both internal and external stakeholders
- Produces periodic report for internal and external groups including the board of trustees, the Internal Revenue Service, university leadership, and other groups as needed
- Oversees the management of the CRM, the Raiser's Edge, and manages the processes that provide user and enterprise- wide security, administrative rights, and other features and training necessary to produce donor services
- Oversees and manages the technology function wherein outside or third-party applications interface with the Raiser's Edge. Ensures that the interfaces comport with security and accounting standards and provides streamlined workflows that contribute to overall productivity
- Oversees the stewardship functions wherein donor queries, reports, and issue resolutions are carried out efficiently and effectively
- Oversees the gift accounting process and works with the department of Fiscal Affairs to ensure that accounting transactions flow properly at the donor (fund) level and the general ledger level, ensuring accounting integrity
- Oversees the management of the philanthropic accounts and authorizes and approves transactions affecting the account and the donor transactions that flow therein
Development- Responsible for developing and executing donor-related cultivation and solicitation strategies for institutional and individual donors
- Works with the president, trustees, and the vice president on donor engagement plans that lead to gift solicitations
- Analyzes donor data in annual, major, and leadership donor categories to execute annual and multi-year fundraising campaigns
- Oversees the management of the annual giving appeals
- Works with colleges and schools to manage prospects and donors
- Helps to develop and implement polices and procedures related o donor activity at the board, college and school volunteer level
- Organizes and manage donor events including those designed for giving societies and other donor affinity groups
- Overseea the use of the Raiser's Edge to catalog, track, and analyze donor activity in service of developing well-designed solicitation strategies
- Calls upon a portfolio of prospects and institutional and individual donors
- Manages the development of marketing materials that are used to develop cultivation and solicitation materials

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)Bachelor's degree
