Position Summary:

The Grant Writer will research funding opportunities, write and edit grant proposals, and manage the entire grant lifecycle from application through reporting. This role requires strong storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively with our organization to clearly articulate our mission and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & Identification:

• Identify and evaluate funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sources.

• Maintain a comprehensive database of potential grant opportunities, deadlines, and submission requirements.

• Proposal Development:

• Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals tailored to each funder’s guidelines.

• Collaborate with program directors and finance staff to gather necessary information and data to support proposals.

• Edit and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to funder guidelines.

Grant Management:

• Track grant deadlines, manage submission calendars, and ensure timely delivery of all grant applications.

• Assist in the preparation of grant reports and updates for funders.

• Relationship Building:

• Develop and maintain relationships with funders and key stakeholders.

• Attend networking events and conferences to stay informed about funding trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of grant writing or related experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.

• Proven track record of successful grant applications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong research, organization, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
