The Director of Membership Services & Stewardship is responsible for the comprehensive management and execution of all annual, major gift, and endowments. This role encompasses coordinating the full cycle of gift acknowledgments, from weekly master acknowledgments to personalized profiles for major donors. The Director of Membership Services & Stewardship provides leadership and management for all Athletic boards and councils.
Job DescriptionEssential Functions:- Manages current use scholarship, forever Deacs, and major gift stewardship
- Provides leadership and management of all Athletic boards and councils.
- Performs and coordinates the annual stewardship process, including annual fund packet distributions, monthly ILC letters, and new donor communication.
- Manages the gift acknowledgement database and provides regular updates to the development staff.
- Responsible for running and applying priority points and rankings to Wake Forest Athletic supporters.
- Manage gift-in-kind transactions and communication with the university's advancement team.
- Tracks inventory and manages trade memberships in Paciolan.
- Tracks, updates, and coordinates aspects of the car dealership program; provide updated information to various stakeholders (Athletics Business Office, Human Resources, Facilities, etc.).
- Serve as a liaison to gift processing, especially during key times of year (May, June, and December).
- Ensures compliance with NCAA rules and regulations related to outside interest groups, to include keeping donors informed as to applicable rules, and preventing interference with the operation of intercollegiate athletics programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
- Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-range goals.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Valid driver license with good driving record; must be insurable.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:- Ability to work evening, weekends, and travel as needed
- Knowledge of fundraising procedures and reporting in college athletics.
- Experience with Paciolan software.
